Road Closure Sorley Cross to Newbridge

Devon Highways will be carrying out patching works on the road from Sorley Green Cross to Newbridge Cross, Loddiswell, between Monday 6th – Friday 17th July 2026 (weekdays only).

The contractor has assessed that, for safety reasons, the road will need to be closed 24/7 for approximately the first four days of the works programme. There will be too many open excavations to allow vehicles to pass safely. After these initial days, the excavations will have been filled enough to cover, allowing the road to reopen at night. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
